Today, Madeline had her 4 month check-up and shots. She did great and the doctor said that she was progressing wonderfully. She was 25 1/2" long and weighed 13 lbs - still long and skinny! And she is developmentally ready to start solid foods.
Madeline's third month was so much fun because she became so aware of everything around her. She is busy putting everything in her mouth, including her toes, and is constantly drooling. Plus, she is now rolling from her tummy to her back and from her back to her tummy.

Madeline also got to meet her other grandparents this month, when my dad and his wife, Loretta, came for a visit. They enjoyed meeting their 10th grandchild and we got in a little sightseeing, too!

And I really enjoyed my first Mother's Day. Nate took Madeline shopping for my present and they picked out a beautiful garnet necklace (Maddie's birthstone).
Next week, Maddie and I are flying off to Phoenix to meet many more family members and friends. We are so excited!
