Our First Post

Hi, Family and Friends!

I'm going to attempt to keep up with this blog so that you all can keep up to date with little Madeline and our family.

This is my last pregnancy picture at 39 weeks.  I think the pregnancy treated me very well with no odd cravings or other problems. 

And one week later, Madeline Joyce Jensen was born on her due date, January 12, 2012, at 10:45am.  She weighed 8 lb 10 oz and was 22.25" long. 

She quickly recovered from her delivery by sleeping on daddy's chest for 3 hours!   

We only spent one night at the hospital and went home to start our new life as a family of 3.  Grammy came a few days later to help us for 2 weeks.

Maddie is now 5 weeks old and growing quickly.  She's now 9 lb 12 oz and 22.5" long.  She is starting to vocalize her needs more, and we are trying to figure out how to keep her happy.

Grandma and Grandpa Jensen are here this week to help around the house and enjoy time with their first grandchild.   They have been a big help!

I can't guarantee that I'll be posting all the time, but I'll try to capture the highlights!
